5th Norfolk District
"It is my honor to serve the residents of the 5th Norfolk District, consisting of the town of Braintree, precinct one of the town of Holbrook, precinct three, of the town of Randolph, all in the county of Norfolk."
Braintree:
The Town of Braintree is a suburban community with a strong residential character located ten miles south of Boston. Incorporated in 1640, Braintree has a rich history and a promising future.
Old Braintree was the birthplace of two presidents, John Adams and John Quincy Adams, as well as John Hancock and General Sylvanus Thayer, the founder of West Point.

Holbrook
(Precinct One): Holbrook was first settled in 1710 as the southern part of Old Braintree, and was officially incorporated on February 29th, 1872, the last town created from the former lands of Braintree. It was formerly known as East Randolph, being divided from Randolph by track from the Old Colony Railroad line. It was named for benefactor Elisha N. Holbrook, who provided the town with the funds for the town hall and library upon incorporation.

Randolph
(Precinct Three):
Incorporated in 1793 from what was formerly the south precinct of the town of Braintree,
Randolph was named after Peyton Randolph, president of the Continental Congress.
